Overview

Instilling leadership and professionalism.

Two of the main pillars of the Society of Hispanic Engineers at Rutgers University are professionalism and leadership. As an organization, we strive to develop the next generation of leaders and instill a professional mindset in students in our communities. Our chapter offers several development workshops held at different high schools throughout New Jersey.

During our workshops, the team focuses on specific topics chosen by the school in collaboration with the leaders. These topics can range from financial aid, resume building, professional etiquette, public speaking, and more. The students are also given team building activities that will encourage teamwork among them as well as mini activities related to the topics in the presentation.
